Hi everybody,
I hope everyone’s having a sparkling summer vacation! To give you some food for thought, I’d like to start a new discussion on what we’d like to have on our website—please contribute!
To start, here is what has already been discussed, but not yet realized due to technological issues:
A bibliography.

Andreas J. Häusler replied to the topic Recovering SV3 wave glider inside a little harbour in the forum ToI 2: Deployment and Recovery 5 years, 6 months ago
Hi Bartolomeo,
We briefly thought about using the “recovery device with lift strap”, too, but the problem is that, once the RIB was close enough to our Waveglider, the resulting angle made it impossible to reach the umbilical with the hook.
In case you work out a solution to this problem, please post it here, maybe even with pictures.
Thanks,
Andreas

Hi Bartolomeo,
Yes indeed: we did something similar when testing our SV3 Waveglider at PLOCAN’s facilities in Gran Canaria. After the mission finished, we pulled it into the harbor tied at the side of a RIB. Quayside, we had a truck stationed—the same one that was used to take the Waveglider to and from the harbor—whose crane was big enough to…[Read more]

Andreas J. Häusler started the topic Live access to telemetry data in the forum ToI 1: WGMS Interface 5 years, 7 months ago
The WGMS offers a means of exporting telemetry data (i.e., time-tagged positional information of a Waveglider in operation) as a data set in various formats. Of particular interest is the
*.KML
format, since it allows for easy visualization in Open Sea Map and other applications.Unfortunately, I have not yet discovered a means of accessing this…[Read more]

Andreas Häusler started the topic Access to IMU data (e.g., heave, pitch, …) in the forum ToI 1: WGMS Interface 5 years, 7 months ago
It appears that the WGMS does not provide access to inertial measurement data as from, e.g., an AHRS or IMU. Yet it can be expected that the Waveglider (regardless which version) has such a device aboard.
Is there any means existent to access such data? Ideally, it would be a list, similar to what is available as history from the Telemetry unit.…[Read more]
